Transcendence

 

To transcend something is "to rise above or go beyond the limits of." So, the thought of transcending oneself is to go beyond or break the threshold of where we currently are in our thoughts, feelings, actions, etc. To transcend ourselves is to change. It is to believe, hope, and have faith that WE can. It is a desire to NOT stay the same. No matter how good or bad we may think of ourselves, there is and always will be room for change, improvement, learning, growing, etc. We, individually, limit ourselves, by doubt, conditioning, experience, others influences, peer pressure, societal pressure, stereotypes, etc. We hold WITHIN ourselves the POWER to transcend, step by step, day by day. We have the CHOICE to exceed our own limits and expectations. We can do better, we can do more, we can INSPIRE, be inspired, LOVE, and be Loved. We can cultivate, nurture, and ACT ourselves into the person we WANT to be. We cannot do it alone. 

Awareness of ourselves and where we PERCEIVE limitation is a starting point.
Awareness of ourselves.....thoughts, feelings, emotions, attitude, perception, confidence and the lack thereof, is a beginning. Of course, we can’t take this all on at once and we can’t expect perfection. We decide where our starting point will be and go forward with DETERMINATION and PERSEVERANCE. We learn how to NOT take ourselves so serious and have FORGIVENESS for ourselves and others. We learn to ACCEPT ourselves, RIGHT NOW, for whoever we are and whoever we have become. We keep in mind our goals and expectations from here, forward, and DO OUR BEST. The CHANGE takes place and habituates as we ACT ourselves into our TRUE BEING and see through the very flawed ways in which we see ourselves and others. The TRUE YOU is dimensions beyond who you think you are. Let’s TRANSCEND and become the person we want to be.
